Autocar has begun discipline testing of its new all-electric cabover refuse truck, the E-ACX.

Two alpha items have been constructed, that includes a zero-emissions, all-electric powertrain. Autocar says the testing, going down in Birmingham, Ala., is meant to make sure the vehicles can deal with the identical rigors as its diesel and compressed pure fuel counterparts.

Each are automated facet loaders.
